The Taste of Betel Nut is a romance and crime film written and directed by Hu Jia and starring Zhao Bingrui, Yue Ye and Shen Shiyu. The film tells the story of what happens in a small seaside town. The film premiered at the Berlin Film Festival on 14 February 2017. The plot synopsis is about Li Qi (Zhao Binrui), who works in an oceanarium, and Ren Yu (Yue Ye), who makes a living by imitating celebrity singers. But the tragedy that ensues turns it all around.'
